Special Needs
The Church of Ireland College of Education, in conjunction with the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education & Skills, offers continuous professional development at postgraduate diploma level to teachers currently working with pupils presenting with learning support and special educational needs. This course is accredited by the University of Dublin, Trinity College. Graduates of this course are eligible to apply to pursue further study at Master's level.
The college also provides a training programme for special needs assistants, funded by the Department of Education & Skills (Teacher Education Section).
